The registered version of AudioZap (2.x) can load .au, as well as
a bunch of other formats.  Other than that, I have a shell program
that a friend whipped up for me a long time ago that converts it,
maybe I could find it and ask his permission for it to be given
out, and on your local unix boxen try 'sox' to convert it to raw
data.

About all I can think of right now.
