Sorry for the crossposting, but I figure more people will see it this
way, and the probability that I'll actually hit someone who has at
least one of these games is greatly increased...
I'm looking for any or all of the following Apple II games:
Sundog
Shadowkeep
Alkabeth (or however you spell it)
One I want because I liked it and never finished it, one I want
because I never saw it and would like to, and one I want because
(with a little luck) I might end up porting it to the Mac as an
'extended studies' class in Comp Sci.
(I'll let all of you figure out which is which. :)
Anyway, I'd also like information on whether any or all of these
will run on Stop the Madness (the Mac emulator) or any of the
multitudes of IBM emulators. If you happen to have one of them
moved over to a hard drive, I'd love to hear about it, whatever
format it's in. If they don't, though, that's fine too... I can dig up
an Apple IIe from somewhere... won't cost me more than $50 for
the system (oh how times do change...)
Let me make it clear... I already bought two of these. I'm trying
to buy them for a second time, mainly because I want the original
manuals if at all possible, but I already paid my money for Sundog
and Shadowkeep (oops, well, now you know :) and, so far as I know,
it would not be illegal for someone to send me a disk image or
a floppy with one of those games on it, if I can't find someone to
sell me the originals.
(I threw out all my old Apple II-format disks when I threw out the
computer... *sigh* It had done its work well, and the keyboard was
so corroded that the contacts were stuck down in about half the
keys. I wish I hadn't thrown out the disks, though...)
Alkabeth is the exception; I'd like to buy an original of that;
please don't send me a copy via email (I might be too tempted
by it. :) (Unless, of course, you happen to be the author... :)
