Re: Speech for Mockingboard

I've got an old (circa 1982) Mockingboard (Sweet Micro Systems) card for
the Apple ][ that I've started using. In reading the doc (yeah I know
*nobody* reads the manual) I found the following reference.
"In preparation for SSI-263 speech synthesis, Sweet has engineered the
appropriate circuitry to allow you to upgrade as soon as these new micro
chips become available."
Sure 'nuff there's a couple of empty sockets on the board just *begging*
to be populated.
The two sockets are for another 6522 VIA and the SSI-263 speech
synthesis chip. 6522's are easy to get, SSI-263's are not so
easy...
