Sorry, Dr. Tom, but you are confusing the Apple I and Apple II.  You may
have the right date, but the price is wrong.  The original price was
$1298 for the complete Apple II with 4k of ram.  (I paid $680 for an Apple
II motherboard alone in November of 1978).  I have in front of me the Sept,
1977 issue of Byte, which had a two page ad for the Apple II.
 
	I also have on my desk a copy of Interface Age, November, 1976,
which has an ad for the Apple I, priced at $666.66 (4k ram).  The ad also
mentions the speedy cassette board:
