Using DOS 3.3 or ProDOS?
Either way, there is no "type" command native to the Apple ][.
There is an add-on "type" command available.
If you are
a) In a hurry
b) Looking at a text file (type T)
c) working in DOS 3.3
d) not bothered by lots of error messages
e) not looking at a command file
then you can come close by typing...
]MON CIO
]EXEC FILENAME
The EXEC command will cause all of the lines in the file to be processed
just as if you had typed them from the keyboard. The MON CIO command will
let you see the data from the file as it is processed.
It's a poor substitute for TYPE, but in a pinch it works.
