It isn't clear what you are booting from.  I assume you are booting
GS/OS from a 3.5" disk and you do not have a hard drive.  If so, it
sounds like the SCSI drivers haven't been installed.  You need the
System 6.0.1 installation disk set, at least :Install, :SystemTools1
and :SystemTools2.  The :synthLAB and :Fonts disks are optional.

Boot the Install disk, click on "Customize".  Insert a blank 3.5" disk,
initialize it if necessary, and make sure it is the selected volume
for installation.
