We use several 4 & 8 MHz Zip Chips in our IIe's and while we have had one 4
MHz unit go bad on us, our 8MHz Zips keep on running. We're planning on
getting 8 MHz Zips for all our remaining IIe's. You won't believe how snappy
the system becomes at 8 MHz, and math intensive programs like Nightfall,
Tonight's Sky, and Ground Track really hustle. For games it's easy to slow
the system back down to 1 MHz by pressing the esc key while booting.
