No, Jerry's been around longer than me.

I never encountered comp.sys.apple, but I was here for the creation of
comp.sys.apple2.programmer and other subgroups.

My first use of Usenet was probably around 1991 or 1992, so I'm a
newbie. :-)

Prior to that I was using local bulletin boards for a few years, perhaps
back as far as 1988.

I got my first computer (Apple IIgs) in 1987, but was using the Apple II
at high school as far back as 1981 (Apple ][+). That means I'm also a
newbie as far as the original Apple ][ and ][+ are concerned, but I've
been there from the start for the //e and later.

The //e is the model I know the best, but I had more use of the IIgs
overall. Unfortunately the IIgs is too complex (especially the software)
to be able to learn it as completely as was possible with the //e.

I haven't done much with any Apple II since 1996, when I got my first
Mac.
