Been there done that. The senate already voted on this and the house will take
it up soon. I read in the Time mag article on AOL that Newt opposes the bill.
That's a bit of a surprise. The petition was to get congress to consider
senator Leahy's alternative which was a study of the problem instead of just
going with the normal right winger knee jerk type course of action. I guess
it's a dead issue now though. Congress is kinda busy with the flag burning
amendment now anyway.
