From which program(s) on what kind of apple? That info could help a
little. But, here's the quick answer: control-I 80N is a 'standard'
command to tell printer interface cards to switch to 80 column mode.
But, it's obvious that the printer interface card isn't listening to
that command.
Thus, look in to the printer setup in the program(s) that he's
using. If there's a printer setup or interface setup string in it that
has control-I 80N, remove those 4 characters.
