Apple II stamp?

In the last issue of Nibble Magazine (July 1992) appeared a letter from
an organization called Alliance International in which it announced that it
would request to the US Postal system to issue an Apple II stamp.
 
I know it's been 3 years since then but, does anyone remember what was the
outcome of that request?
 
Certainly, I haven't seen any Apple II stamp, but then again, I don't live
in the USA!
