Better solution: You need a real computer. Buy a used IIGS with 3.5 and 5.25 drives. Buy a Bluedisk controller and MFM 5.25 or 3.5 drive. Copy the files from an Apple drive to a MFM drive on the IIGS. (Peter Watson's MS-DOS utilities very helpful here). Then you can use the files on the limited hardware for the 486.
