uh... the kind of device you are talking about already exists--just
browse through the advertising section of macintosh magazines, you'll
find them listed. the critical problem is... apple 2 computers can't use
them without drivers! and considering the diverging designs of scsi
controllers (i'm not expert, but...) it's even questionable whether such
device is even compatible with apple 2 scsi.
