Wico Trackball

Does anyone have any info (especially programming info) about the Apple
II Wico trackball?  The "manual" (more like a pamphlet) doesn't have
any specific Apple II info and the box says "NOTE: The Command Control
Apple II Trackball Model can be used on all software programs written for
joystick controllers with minor software changes, or for programs written
for trackball units."  What programs would use the trackball without
the minor software changes?
