Jeez Louise, Michael, the word is copyright. They do indeed get old, but not in a way that is going to do you much good. For anything copyrighted after 1975, the right to be paid for its use lasts until 50 years after the death of the copyrightor. For anything copyrighted before that time, a straight 75 years.
