You can use ASCII EXPRESS THE PRO with only a 80-col card you don't need
to do any modes unless you want to add a switch for 40-80 col selection.
I use ASCII EXPRESS  and have no problems unless YOU  need vt100.

LET THE 80-COL CARD DO THE FULL CHARACTER MAPPING(THEY COME WITH
UPPER+LOWERCASE)
Once ASCII EXPRESS is set up correctly it works fine,I have been using it
from the time it was released and as it says in the manual WE BELIEVE THIS
IS ALL THE COMMUNICATIONS PACKAGE YOU WILL NEED!

No I don't work for them and yes it is a good serial line com pak.
