Sorry, this doesn't work.  The PC monitor uses a totally different system
than the //c does.  To connect the //c, or any Apple // for that matter, to
a color monitor requires a monitor that accepts NTSC video.  This would
include the average VCR, as well as just about any new TV.  

Just take the RCA cable that is going to your mono monitor, and connect it to
the Video In jack on the VCR/TV/color monitor.
