I would defenately recomend a Zip over a SS card. The reasons are simple. 
There are no more then 5 (at most) programs that you can use with the SS 
card. All you can basically do now is just view pictures. With a Zip card 
you will speed up your machine and all your applications will run faster! 
You will not wait as long to boot, nor to launch programs. You will 
benefit more from a Zip then from a SS card. In the future when there are 
more programs then you can purchase a SS card. Besides if you order it 
now, you will be lucky if you you get it one month from now!

BTW: I have my zip running on my Rom 01 at 15Mhz!!!
