If I were to purchase a program then I would go for Prizim. From what I 
have see and from friends who have the program and shown me what it does, 
its a great program, best that I have seen by far. If you are looking for 
a freeware shareware program then you shuold get a program called 
gif.converter I beliave. It convets GIF to 3200 BW and other formats 
really nicely. Not quite as good as Prizim but it does a decent job.
