I used to leave my //c running for days at a time (although I did turn
the screen off when I wasn't using it), with no problems. The brick
would get warm, but all bricks do that, and as long as it was in an
open space where it could radiate that heat away it seemed to be
happy. I don't know about the 120V bricks that came with US //cs, but
the 240V brick that came with my "international" //c is a well-built,
quality transformer.
