RamFAST & CD-ROM problem

Every time I power up my system after it hasn't been used in while, I get
past the load fill-bar, then it drops into 80-col text mode with the
original startup text at the top and bottom of the screen, and a RamFAST
"searching the SCSI bus" message on top of that in the upper left corner
of the screen. When I power down, then up again, it works. This started
happening after I hooked up an Apple CD-300ePlus to the SCSI bus with my
hard drive. I have a RamFAST Rev.D 3.01e 256k, and I already had those
"problem chips" replaced by Sequential. I also have the short timeout
option set to YES. Any idea what's going on here? I hate having to
start up twice. :)
