ComputerEyesGS = > PC
Well, here's my dilemna...I recently dusted off my old Apple IIGS
system, and was marvelling at the amount of input hardware I have for
it...a Sonic Blaster, a ComputerEyes video input board, a MIDI port, and
a ThunderScanner (I have an old salvaged HP-85, too...boy is that thing
funky...if only all the hardware tapes that I got with it weren't
corrupted...)
Anyway, I was playing around, and wanted to know if anybody had
ever thought about or had experience writing some code so that I could
get the video board to capture and then send out the raw data through the
modem port...I'd like to hook it up null-modem to my PC so I can use the
video capture board, because I have an application for which 320X200X16
is more than adequate, and I don't think anybody makes boards for the PC
which do that anymore. Besides, I think it would be a neat hack.
Along the same lines, does anybody know it it is hardwarily
possible to rig up some sort of hack so that the old board can be put
into my PC (if I had the specs for the board and wanted to try to write
some software for it?)
Again, along those same lines, I picked up a book on assembly for
the GS at a used book sale, but don't know where to look for developer
software in this day and age. Any replies can be posted here, but I
would prefer e-mail, so if you post for all to see, please mail it
directly to me, too. Thanks!
