Re: Zany Golf
I recently bought a copy of Zany Golf and didn't find that having an
Apple High-Speed SCSI card didn't cause problems. I think the step that
may have made the difference for me is using the Hard-Drive-compatible
deprotect supplied by Copy II Plus. (I'm using version 9.1 of C2P).
Anyway: Zany Golf runs fine, but demands to be launched from ProDOS 8.
GS/OS cannot be installed. So hold down the "8" key when you're booting
if you know that you want to run Zany Golf. The VERSION of ProDOS 8
doesn't matter; I've used 2.0.3 successfully.
Once you're looking at the BASIC prompt after booting, just set the
prefix to wherever you have installed Zany Golf and type "-P8.System".
Alternatively, type "BYE" and use the program selector built into recent
versions of ProDOS.
Without the deprotection, this will just crash or hang (I forget which)
your system.
