Why is this question posted an an Apple 2 newsgroup??? I would think that 
a Mac newsgroup would be more appropriate.

Well, never mind. The answer is simple: press COMMAND-SHIFT-3 and the 
screen will be captured as a paint file (but, some programs may intercept 
the key combination for their own uses). There are little programs 
available which allow some options in screen capture.
