You need to change the filetypes.  There are different filetypes for
font suitcases and individual truetype fonts; you will need to recognize
both and use the right filetype accordingly.  (Or use trial and error.)
Get a font filetype changer for the Mac, like DropInfo, or ResEdit will
also do it.  Look at the type of current fonts, I think it's like
FFIL/DMOV for one of the kinds off my head, but verify it.
