How's the Turbo IDE?

Hi:
	I just bought an Apple IIgsand, after reading the Apple Faq (thank
 you, Dan DeMaggio!) I'm starting to think that it needs a hard drive.
I'm intrigued by the Turbo IDE card. (This card allows IBM style hard disks
 to be used on the Appe IIe or IIgs.) But I'm nervous about service from a
 German-based company. So, I'd like some opinions from people using them;

1) did you have any problems with cards arriving DOA, or with the company's
   service?

2) any installation problems?

3) Does it integrate well with the Apple II- ie any software-drive 
incompatibilities?

4) Is it notably faster than a comparable Apple high-speed SCSI card +
 drive system (my second choice)?
