My pleasure, Steve. But, do my eyes deceive me?

Is it really possible that the administrator of the Grind archive learned
from Shareware Solutions II how to use lynx to download files from his own
site?

You might not realize it, Steve, but that's one heckuva compliment.

If the Shareware Solutions II newsletter can teach the Grind administrator
something about using the Internet, imagine what Shareware Solutions II can
teach *you*?

I imagine that the lynx programming team might say, "that's not a bug,
that's a feature." In any case, the only way I know of to download via lynx
AND maintain the actual file name is to use a 2 step process...save the
download to a file on disk on your host system, and then use sz to download
it to your Apple II.

Is there any advantage to using that method, other than preserving the file
name?

Yes. sz supports both wildcard and batch downloading. So, if you download
10 .BXY files to your home directory, you can download them all to your
Apple II with just one command: sz *BXY
