I got my first issue a day after I posted that. :-)

I ordered the "Inside the Internet" magazine and one other one that I
forget (it hasn't arrived yet). "Inside the Internet" is a little
thin in size (16 pages). The issue I've just received (Vol. 2, No. 4,
April 1995) has a lead article describing ISDN, which was quite good
if you didn't know much about ISDN.
Other material:
- Pointers to material avaiable on Internet for several minor topics of
interest.
- An article about Prodigy (I haven't read it).
- An article about MPEG (only relevant to the Mac, PC and UNIX/VMS).
- An article about working with Gopher.
- A summary of UNIX Gopher client commands.
- A discussion on URL syntax.
- Some background information on the GIF kerfuffle (re the UNISYS
patent), and "PNG" (Portable Network Graphics), a supposed
replacement, also known as GIF-24 (first I've heard of it).
- A glossary.
In future issues they are promising:
- A modem primer.
- E-mail tips.
- ISDN product reviews.
- Netscape's extended HTML tags.
- PGP (Pretty Good Privacy).
- PPP.
All in all, it is somewhat of a low-end magazine, aimed at newish
Internet users and those who have only explored limited areas.
I have 11 more issues to go...
