Mac IIsi screen problems

Hi folks.

I've encountered a real anoying problem with one of my Mac's, a
IIsi with 16MB RAM and a 90MB HD (!).

I can live with the IIsi as long as he only shut down the sound from time
to time... but now he also shut down the screen after just a vew minutes.

I tried to reanimate the screen by disconnecting the power cable from the
screen and the IIsi, waited for a few minutes, and reconnected the device.

This helps a little bit... so i can use my screen for another few minutes,
or in worsest times just a few seconds.


Did anyone of you know a solution, a eventual indicator what this could be ?
Does someone has encountered the same problem ? What tests can i perform
to make some sort of troubleshooting ?
