Could you please provide details on this "handshaking cable"? I seem to
recall some posts about it in the dim past, but since I only had a 2400 baud
modem, I didn't care. Now I've been given a 9600 baud modem (from work),
but I can't seem to get it to run faster than 2400.
Through reading another post, I suspect I may have still got my terminal
program (SnowTerm) expecting 2400 baud, so I'll check that when I get
home. Nevertheless, I suspect I could make use of a better cable.
Incidently, the modem is a Microcom QX/4232bis, and I'm using a GS.
I've configured the modem port to be 19200, but this doesn't seem to
affect anything. :-(
Thanks in advance to any and all who have any advice on this subject.
