Re: Why won't the Unidisk 3.5 work with . . .
> Why won't the Unidisk 3.5 work with the 3.5 Bit Copy on Copy II Plus?
I have a related problem described below. I have an Enhanced Apple IIe
Rev. B with the Laser UDC card in Slot 5. Attached to this card is an
Apple 3.5" non-UniDisk drive (Model A9M0106, P/N 825-1304-A). I also own
an original, unmodified, registered copy of Copy II Plus v9.1 by Central
Point Software.
I discovered that my Copy II Plus v9.1 3.5" Sector Editor will not read
3.5" disks. After selecting "(R)ead", then "0" (for Block $0000"), the
program crashes into the Monitor displaying $FF6F and leaving the 3.5"
drive spinning! CONTROL-RESET restores program operation.
I contacted Central Point, and they sent me a replacement disk, but the
problem didn't disappear. I even tried the latest version of ProDOS that
I have, v2.0.3, but no relief. I'm wondering if this has something to do
with the revised Enhanced IIe chipset, or simply a fault in the software.
Any ideas? Any other Copy II Plus users have this problem?
