I have an early Apple //c with 5.25" drive bundled with vers. 1.02 Appleworks.
I would like to transfer some of the DB files & WP files over to the Mac
(vers. 7.1)
also have a //c with 3.5" built in drive on loan.
So far, what I understand is A) I must first get the data onto a 3.5"
drive and then the Mac will read it with it's file transfer utility OR
B) get a modem and send to the Mac using common ASCII files.
I am not very excited about buying a Modem or an external 3.5" //c drive
just to transfer some files and turn around and try to re-sell it.
My QUESTIONs are: 1) Does anyone have a used 3.5" drive they want to sell
or rent cheap or a Modem with appropaite software on a 5.25" floppy?
2) Are there other options that I am not aware of?
In scanning, this newsgroup. I have read about a//gs file sharing program
that works with Macs, and also SCSI a SyQuest to a //gs. Is either of
these posibilites for an early ('84) //c? ...If so what all will I need?
All input will be greatly appreciated!
