I do it all the time. Set ProComm to auto answer (ATA). Have both machines
hooked to the same phone line. Set the GS term program to dial out the
number 1. This gets you a dial tone as needed for the modems to continue.
Hit return at the same time on both machines. The GS will pick up and
dial 1 and wait for a connection. The PC will pick and try to connect. As
soon as you hear the change in tone, disconnect from the wall connection
while still having the 2 computers hooked together. I do this wth a "Y"
connector available at Radio Shack as well as at other stores.
