That's cuz Apple went brain dead with the Mac hard drives.. you need to
find some way to put the hard drive DRIVER right on the hard drive in it's
own special partition. there are several third party utilities to do
this - FWB and Anubis come to mind right quickly. FWB is probably more
widely known, but from what I've been hearing, Anubis is the better
product. each seems to cost about $50 (for the personal edition_)
