Apple III

I had an Apple III given to me a couple of years back.  It was used in 
a business and had some software which had been written in Apple Pascal.
This had become corrupt, so the system was useless (the company that 
wrote it went under years before).  It was used mostly for games in 
Apple ][ emulation mode, but has been unused for some time.

Anyway, my question is can the ProFile hard disk be used on the Apple ][?
Seems a shame to leave it just lying around...
