CP/M Z80 information
Hi,
i'm not sure which newsgroup would be the best to post this message in so
i'll try this one (along with some others)
i recently aquired a Franklin Z80 card that runs CP/M. being the sort
of weirdo who enjoys exploring different operating systems and different
machines in assembly language i'm on a quest for information.
two disks that came with the card contain cpm version 2.2 and some
utilities. the card also came with a very skiny 'manual' that describes
the most basic of cpm commands. cpm does come with ASM.COM but there's no
information anywhere on how to use it. there is a source-code listing
on the master disk so from that i can get the general gist of how to run
the assembler but i would like more information on the z80 itself (you
know, the regular stuff, addressing modes, opcodes, register names,
number of registers...)
anyway, i'm hoping that someone out there will remember that they have
a huge box of this stuff somewhere and will think to him/herself 'hey
i haven't used that stuff in years and chances are i never will again' i'm
saying to you: please consider giving this material a nice home - mine.
of course i would be happy to pay for it (hey, you didn't get it free, did
you?) but i would hope that you don't want an arm and/or a leg for it.
please reply to my e-mail. thank you

ps i have already talked to Jay Sage, he's a very busy person and i'm sure
he has better things to do than help out a newbie. hey! not to say he
hasn't been helpful! quite the opposite, very nice guy, but i just feel
guilty disturbing someone like him about stuff like this.
