Comm program for an Apple ][e (Laser, actually) ?

I'm looking for a communications program for a Laser (Apple ][-type)
machine.  I've heard of ProTerm and Kermit being available for this
system.  Kermit (from Columbia Univ.) is free from an ftp site.

Does anyone have any recommendations of particularly easy comm software?

Does anyone know of a good ftp site for downloading Apple ][ software?
