I set up my IIgs' hard disk by formatting and partitioning it on the IIgs
with ADU then I put it on my Mac and zapped a driver into the driver partition
with Transoft SCSI Director. The formatter you use has to create a driver
partition and make it big enough to hold the driver. Chinook SCSI Utilities
doesn't create a driver partition at all it turns out. So now the HFS volume
show up on my desktop when the drive is on the Mac. I connect it every so often
to run Norton on it. The ProDOS volume doesn't show up even with PC Exchange
installed though. I guess it's because the driver from SCSI Director only
recognizes partitions named Apple_HFS as disk volumes. No loss though since
I use localtalk normally to get files between machines.
