AE RamFactor and 'little black doohickeys'

I installed a used, fully populated AE RamFactor into my IIgs -
replacing the existing fully populated AE RamFactor card - and I
could not get the IIgs' Finder to recognize the existence of the
card. I thought the two cards were identical, but upon further
examination, the used card lacks these two 'little black doohickeys'
that go on these four metal prongs under the red thingy.
I could not find any mention of the doohickeys in the manual.
When I moved the doohickeys from the working card to the non-working
card, the previously non-working card worked.
So, either I need two of these doohickeys, a way to share two of
these doohickeys between the cards that will allow both cards to
work, or a way to fool the non-working card into thinking it has
these doohickeys - or ... .
Help.
