    I am intersted in adding a few questions to this thread, particularly about
IIGS networking.
 
    1)  Can I share a network with a PC? Has there ever been a software package
that will allow PC's to network with a IIGS? Specifically. to share modem and
printer and pass ASCII or hexadecimal files?
 
    2) Can a IIGS be used as a dumb (VT100) terminal to call into a PC or
another IIGS from a remote location? If so, what software or hardware is neede?
 
    I am going to use a PC to run a scanner system. I would like to continue to
use my apple II's (I own 3) for all other computing I do, including
manipulating my business DB and SS. I hate to have two computers that can't
talk or at least pass some info.
 
    Any advice or experience?
