First of all, thanks to everyone who wrote or posted to assure me that the
controller card would probably work in the GS.  I tried it out, and it does
indeed work just fine.  I was delighted to discover that it has a jumper to
select between booting 13 and 16 sector disks.  (I don't actually own any
DOS 3.2 disks, but it's nice to have the ability to boot them directly
anyway.)

As far as I can tell, all those extra chips are a replacement for the state
machine PROM on the Apple card.

Does anybody out there have any idea what the two variable resistors at the
keyboard end of the card do?
