I was reading the Apple FAQ and with regards to "enhancing" an unenhanced ][e it
says that certain "older" ][e can't be enhanced.  It gives examples of serial
numbers that work/don't work but I am not clear since both serial numbers 
look identical--except for a "B" suffix!

Can anyone give more details on which ][e are incompatible with the enhancement
chipsets?  Clues on the motherboard: presence/absence of chips, serial number
range, etc.

I am looking to enhance my Apple ][e but I want to make sure before I order the
chipsets.  Also, any "cheap" sources?
