Hmmm...
When I run ProDOS-8 from GS/OS, I've never encountered any quit code.
Whenever the program I was running finished, it used the standard "bye"
routine, which has always taken me right back to "One moment please...",
which has always been followed by the GS/OS Finder. This includes the BYE
command from BASIC.SYSTEM.
The only exception to this is when I ran the SYSUTIL.SYSTEM program off
the old ProDOS-16 Apple IIgs System Disk. This has its own BYE code in
the program, and gives the "Re-start/Re-boot/Enter pathname" menu, which I
find to be just a little annoying.
So is it just clean living on my part? It looks to me like the standard
quit call is GS/OS friendly. Y'know, the one that takes you to the
cryptic "ENTER PREFIX:" prompt

(remembering when programs didn't HAVE "QUIT" code!)
