        I have a plat 2e that I was working on to fix another problem. It has
the SMT no slot clock and I was able to set that clock with their software.
One thing that happened to me on another 2e with that clock was if you get a
fictitious date in the clock because of a glitch or noise the software will
not recognize the chip. I had this happen and was finally able to locate
software from Dallas the manufacturer that could set the clock because it did
not check to see if there was a chip in the system.
 
        BTW the clock is under the CF Rom and seems to work just fine.
