Man! Don't reinvent the wheel! The foundations have already been
laid! Have you checked out the open source contiki os for the C64 and
apple II -among others-? It absolutely rox proper gui, full
multitasking, multithreaded .
on the apple 2 it could do with MANY much needed enhancements just a
very few enhancements sugg, here: gui vim, a better gui in the vein of
the apple II deskTop would be great, and Usb/bluetooth/idisk
watchamacallits drivers. And C64 contiki apps are just a port away...
Or a contiki gui based apple II c ide based upon cc65 I would Pay for!
