Clarity needed re: HD partitions
Ok, I'm a bit confused. What's the deal with HD partitions. I have
read that the Apple High Speed SCSI card supports up to 111 & that the
RamFast supports only 12. I have also read that there are is no software to
make more than a small number of partitions but have also heard that someone
had 16 or so active at once. What's the deal here? Can someone please
straighten me out on this. Thanks in advance.
1) What are the max. partitions that can be handled by each of the 2 above
SCSI cards?
2) What software is available to make these partitions?
3) How many partitions is it possible to have active at once? Is this
limited by the number of empty slots?
4) Is it possible to have a lot of partitions actually on a HD drive & then
only have some active at one time? Additionally, could you choose the one's
you want to be active?
