Apple IIc info? Power cord?

I recently rescued a Apple IIc system from a local company's
trash. I have the system box (which seems to have all chips),
a small monochrome (?) monitor on a stand, an external "Disk
IIc" disk drive, and a few cables. My wife and I would like
to get this computer running with BASIC, for possible use in
a day care center with young children (and for sentimental
reasons -- an Apple II was our first real exposure to computers).

There are two questions I had about this system:
   1) Where would I find a IIc power cord? The connector on
the computer appears to be a 7-pin round male connector,
which I don't recall seeing before. If you have such a
cord you could part with or know a possible source
(or even if you just know the technical specs/pinouts),
      I'd appreciate hearing from you.
   2) Does the IIc have BASIC in ROM or would we need a
diskette? For that matter, is there any operating
system in ROM? If I need software, does anyone know
      where I could get it?

I'd appreciate any/all advice on how to proceed on this.

Thanks.
