Be careful. From my experience, it tends to wipe the /RAM5 volume when
decoding some images.

Converting a JPEG to a GIF format is a strange thing to do. You will
lose color quality in the conversion. Converting the other way you will
lose image detail. Also, GIFs will be larger than JPEGs, but as said
you lose quality for the higher compression. JPEGs can be made without
loss, but then they end up larger than the same image as a GIF would.
It's all tradeoffs. You have to determine for yourself what is most
important for you.
