(Sorry! I called Diskdoubler Doublespace in my last posting.)
I have gotten several floppy disks containing a database originally
produced on a Mac. Since the files were so big that they couldn't fit
on a single 1.44 MB floppy they were compressed with Mac's archiving
utility - Diskdoubler. Diskdoubler allows you then to spread the
information over several disks.
The problem now is that I want to convert the whole thing to run on a PC.
It is no problem with uncompressed Mac files but I have no idea how to
uncompress Doublespace compressed files on a PC.
Does anybody know how to do this. Is there an unarchiving utility that
will run on a PC that can unarchive Diskdoubler files?
Is there any other way of doing this? As a last resort I will try to get
hold of a Mac , unarchive the files and transfer them over the serial
port to the PC. It is not something I look forward to, though as I
cannot easily get hold of a Mac.
I really would appreciate if someopne could help me with this.
