HARD DRIVE WHOES

Well 8 years passed and I thought that I would never have any problems.  
I had to get cocky and think "MY HD WILL NEVER CRASH!"  NOT!  My HD 
choked a ERR.MSG file on my boot partition in the sys directory!  I 
recopied it into it and I am able to get my finder up and running but it 
looks like my HD is damaged.  I have to reformat.  

I was wondering what you all recommend for a great HD utility program for 
my GS that can run with a RAMFAST SCSI and such.  I need a good 
optimizing/orphan/fragment protect program.  Can someone help please!
